The author, Richard Taylor, introduce his book, “Inside Business Management: A Perspective for Students” with a book signing, 7:00 PM on Tuesday May 15th at the Putnam County Public Library.
The book provides parents an outline for dialogue with their children on important steps to take in preparation for their future education and careers. Topics in the book relate to career choices students will be making in the near future. Some of the topics include, art of getting selected, valuable technical skills, how employees are perceived, building a portfolio, the impact of global competition, etc.
The author, a Greencastle resident, started his career with IBM Corporation in Washington, D.C. and supported management as an Industrial Engineer. This lead to future managerial assignments in two other IBM plants, Dayton, New Jersey and Greencastle. Indiana. His responsibilities included employee training, installation of a new production facility in Rochester, New York, transfer of product manufacturing operations and start-up of production operations in four plants.
